New Neighbor

New to the Baby Impressions neighborhood, a few months ago construction began to bring a new dining option to Congaree Road. The locally famous “Skins” Hot Dog restaurant is opening up shop within the same shopping center as us.
We’ve Been Busy

That’s right, we’ve been very busy making some changes which we think our customers will really like.
Is there anything I can do to help get good images?

Drinking plenty of water (typically 40- 60oz per day) THROUGHOUT your pregnancy can greatly impact the quality of your images. Also, you can consume a food or drink that you know will make your baby active. If you know of a food, drink or activity that gets your baby moving, by all means feel free to do them just before your travels to our office.

Can you guarantee that I will receive perfect images?

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee “perfect” images, nor can anyone. What you see on our website are images taken directly from our clients and exemplary of what most mothers receive. However, the most important factor is the position of the baby. Other critical factors include the amount of amniotic fluid (drink plenty of water throughout your pregnancy) and the amount of maternal tissue between the probe and the baby. Each mother and baby are unique and so is each session. We truly want to get good images of each baby we see, but sometimes babies are just camera shy.
Do I need to be under a Doctor’s Care?

All customers are required to be under the care of a doctor or midwife. We encourage you speak with your healthcare provider (doctor, midwife, etc.) about your intentions to visit Baby Impressions. Customers are also required to have completed their first diagnostic ultrasound to evaluate for a healthy pregnancy and determine the due date. Upon arriving for your appointment you will need to provide the following information: Healthcare providers address and phone number, due date and date of last diagnostic ultrasound. Ultrasound services provided by Baby Impressions are purely elective and cannot be substituted for a diagnostic or medically indicated ultrasound. We do not take measurements or determine due dates.
What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Cash, Visa, Master Card, Discover and debit cards. Please note, we do not accept or process insurance claims of any kind.
Is ultrasound safe?

Our GE Voluson 730 ultrasound system is the same equipment used by many of the world’s finest prenatal clinics and is as safe as the ultrasound machine used at your doctor’s office. Ultrasound technology has been the subject of hundreds of clinical studies over the past 30 years and has not been shown to cause any harm to the mother or baby. We urge you to speak with your doctor about the safety of ultrasound.
What kind of training do your sonographers have?

All sonographers are certified, registered, or registry eligible. We require our sonographers to have graduated with a formal education and certificate in diagnostic medical sonography. In addition ,we require sonographers to have a minimum of five years proven clinical experience in obstetrical ultrasound or to maintain a registry by the ARDMS.
